Some stories are too important to be forgotten. Some family histories deserve to live forever.
My name is William Ashton Bessant III, and I’m asking for your help to bring The Name We Carry, a powerful three-book historical trilogy, to life. This is more than a book project—it is a journey into the lives, struggles, sacrifices, and resilience of generations whose stories deserve to be remembered and shared.
Through The Ground Remembers, The Houses We Build, and The Music of the Hands, readers travel from the Georgia coast to Detroit, exploring African American and Indigenous history, racial injustice, family legacy, and the strength it takes to build a future from the hardships of the past.
I am seeking $4,000 in donations to help cover the essential costs of publication.
Every contribution brings this dream closer to reality. Whether you can give $10, $50, or more, your support can help preserve these stories for future generations. If you cannot donate, sharing this appeal is also a meaningful gift.
Together, we can help ensure that the voices of the past are not lost—and that the legacy we leave behind continues to inspire.
Thank you for believing in this mission and helping me bring The Name We Carry to readers.
