William Griffin "Griff" Moody, beloved husband, father, "G," son, brother, friend, mentor, and devoted servant of Christ, passed away on Tuesday, October 6th, after a seven-year battle with cancer. After years of courage and perseverance, Griff completed his fight and went home to be with his Savior. This Saturday, Oct 17th I am running the Flatrock 50K Race. After Griff’s passing, I have decided to dedicate this race to the memory of Griff and to honor the legacy of how much he meant to his friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, the family has invited those who wish to honor Griff's memory to make a donation the Winship Kidney Cancer Program Fund. The race is 31 miles, if you would like to commit to pledge a donation amount for every mile I run (for example: $1 per mile = $31). After the race I will send all donations to the Winship Kidney Cancer Program Fund.
In addition if you have any family members also battling cancer, please send me their name and I will be praying for them throughout the race.
