This fundraiser will help provide sleeping bags for people living unsheltered in Thurston County. OlyMAP, Olympia Mutual Aid Partners, works directly with people experiencing unsheltered homelessness through outreach, basic-needs support, resource navigation, and other community-based services. Our outreach teams regularly meet people where they are and distribute supplies based on what people need.
Sleeping bags and blankets are some of the most important items we can provide during the colder, wetter months. Donations from this fundraiser will go directly towards the purchase of sleeping bags sent to OlyMAP for distribution through our outreach programs, helping us respond to more requests and get warm bedding into the hands of people who need it.
OlyMAP and The Community Kitchen will help distribute the sleeping bags directly to the people who need them. We have decided to use Kindbee.com as a donation platform. They do not charge a fee for collecting the donations online. Every penny you donate goes directly to the purchase of sleeping bags.
We can also accept clean used sleeping bags and blankets. If you have sleeping bags to donate, please text Teri at 253-312-0610.
