Nat's Pathway To Citizenship

Hi everyone, I’m David Sosa and Nat is my wifey for lifey. I'm starting this fundraiser to raise funds to petition for Nat to get her citizenship and to keep her safe.

Nat was born in Mexico and has lived in Houston, Texas since she was four years old. This is the only home she’s ever known. She grew up here, went to school here, and built her friendships, her art, and her life here. At 18 she qualified for DACA, which gave her a work permit, a driver’s license, and protection from deportation. She has renewed it every two years since, always on time, always paying the fees.

Right now her renewal is stuck in processing delays, along with thousands of others. Because of that, she’s lost her ability to work. With everything going on right now, she’s even nervous to get behind the wheel. No one should have to feel that way in their own hometown.

We’re done depending on a temporary status. As her husband, I’m petitioning for her permanent residency, which puts her on the path to citizenship. We’re ready to start, but attorney fees and filing costs add up fast, and that’s where we could use some help. Every dollar raised here goes directly to her legal and immigration expenses.
