Hello. My name is Liz, and I am a breast cancer survivor. I will be having another (hopefully last) surgery. Unfortunately, I don't qualify for FMLA, and we don't have short-term disability here. And I'm what is called cancer poor. I have no savings and had to file bankruptcy.
The recovery time for this surgery is 6 weeks (I'm having a total hysterectomy), and I would like to be able to take the full 6 weeks, as I never was able to take full recovery time since I had to work during my treatments, radiation, and surgeries, and I'm just simply exhausted.
My surgery is October 23rd. Thank you.
