After up to four back surgeries, getting around has become very difficult for me. I rely on ride shares to get to my appointments, but they can take up to two hours to pick me up. What should be a simple trip can turn into a long, exhausting wait, and that makes keeping up with my medical care even harder. Waiting and sitting for longer than normal causes me a lot of pain, and by the time I get home, I am in severe pain that I can barely bear.
Transportation has also made day-to-day life much more complicated. It is hard finding rides not only for appointments, but also for basic needs like grocery shopping and running errands. Even getting food from the store has become a challenge when I do not have a dependable way to get there and back.
I am asking for help to purchase a used vehicle that I can trust and depend on. Having reliable transportation would help me get to appointments, shop for food, and handle everyday errands with more stability and less stress.
