Help save our home

On March 25, 2025, my world changed forever when my mother passed away suddenly. She left behind me, a 17-year-old high school student, and my two little brothers, ages 7 and 8. Since that day, I’ve been doing everything I can to keep our family together and make sure my brothers still have stability, love, and a place to call home.

Right now, we are facing the possibility of losing our house because the bank is trying to foreclose. Our lights are at risk of being shut off, and we do not have a vehicle, which makes getting my brothers and myself to school, work, appointments, and daily responsibilities extremely difficult.

I work part time at the Boys & Girls Club while also staying in school full time. Every paycheck I earn is going toward keeping a roof over our heads, paying the mortgage and light bill, putting food on the table, and trying to save enough for a reliable car so I can continue taking care of my brothers without us falling behind.

Because I am still 17, I cannot legally transfer the house into my name until I turn 18 next month. Until then, I am doing my best to hold everything together for my family during the hardest season of our lives.

I never imagined having to carry responsibilities like this at such a young age, but my brothers are depending on me, and I refuse to give up on them. Any donation, no matter the amount, would help us keep our home, keep the lights on, provide food and transportation, and give my little brothers some sense of normalcy after losing our mom.
