Help Me Rebuild My Life After an Unexpected Journey

Sometimes life changes in a moment. Sometimes you find yourself in a place you never imagined you would be—and all you can do is hold on to faith and keep going.

On August 31, 2026, my family reported me missing after becoming concerned about my well-being. At the time, I was going through an incredibly stressful period in my life and made the decision to take a private trip to Miami for a few days to step away, clear my mind, and breathe.

I never imagined that a short getaway would turn into one of the most difficult experiences of my life.

While in Miami, I became the victim of identity theft. My accounts were compromised, and I lost my phone and purse. Suddenly, I was without many of the things I depended on my money, contacts, identification, and the ability to easily reach the people who loved me.

What was supposed to be a weekend away became weeks of being stranded.

Eventually, I found myself without stable housing and struggling to survive. I tried to find assistance through shelters and 211, but I was unable to find the resources I needed to get home.

There were moments when I felt completely alone.

But I never stopped believing that somehow, some way, I would make it through.

God made a way when I could not see one.

I eventually found a library where I was able to access some of my funds. That small opportunity became a turning point. I was able to purchase a new phone, reconnect with my family, and begin the journey home.

When I finally returned home in September, I was grateful to be safe and surrounded by people who loved me.

But coming home did not mean the struggle was over.

While I was away, my life and finances continued to unravel. I fell behind on my bills and financial obligations. My transportation and personal belongings were affected, and I am currently without employment.

My family has stepped in and helped me financially, and I will forever be grateful for every person who prayed for me, searched for me, encouraged me, and helped me along the way.

But the truth is, I still need help.

I am working hard to rebuild my life. I am actively looking for employment, reaching out to community organizations, and doing everything I can to become financially stable again.

I am not asking for someone to fix my life.

I am asking for a hand up while I rebuild it.

❤️ My Goal: $7,750

I am asking friends, family, and anyone who feels led to support me to help raise $7,750.

These funds will help me:

🙏 Get caught up on essential bills and financial obligations

🚗 Work toward reliable transportation

🏠 Address housing and basic living needs

📱 Replace essential items that were lost

💼 Support my transition back into employment

❤️ Give me the stability and breathing room necessary to rebuild

Every donation whether it is $5, $25, $50, $100, or more brings me one step closer to standing firmly on my own again.

And if you cannot give financially, please share this fundraiser. A share can reach someone who may be able to help.

A prayer matters.

A share matters.

A kind message matters.

And a donation, no matter the amount, could make an incredible difference in helping me get through this chapter.

I know my story may be difficult to understand from the outside. I also know that life can take unexpected turns, and sometimes people need compassion instead of judgment.

I am choosing not to let this experience define the rest of my life.

I survived it. I made it home. And now I am determined to rebuild.

My hope is to return to work, regain reliable transportation, become financially stable, and create a stronger foundation for the future.

To everyone who has prayed for me, checked on me, supported me, encouraged me, or simply cared enough to wonder if I was okay:

Thank you.

I am asking you to stand with me one more time as I take this next step.

Help me turn this difficult chapter into a comeback story.

With love, gratitude, and faith,

Andrea ❤️🙏
