Help Desiree Get Her Family Back on the Road

Hi, I'm Desiree — a mom of three in Macclenny, Florida.💕

I'm going to be honest with you about where we're at.😭

My only car, a 2014 Ford Fiesta, 💚overheated back on March 5th — smoke pouring out, the whole thing. 👀 We managed to get it to my father-in-law's house, and it's been sitting there ever since, Seven months now. The battery's dead, 💀 there's no telling what the overheating did to the engine, and we can't even get it looked at because we can't afford to fix it or tow it anywhere.

My husband's license is suspended, gonna cost us $250 plus fees/etc for him, but so I'm the one have active valid driving licensed-who needs to drive -which is better for me to be able to work and be able to have a job and then I could take my husband to his old job once he gets approved for that.🙏 — but I have nothing to drive. 🫠

Every day is a puzzle: 💔 how do my kids get to their doctor appointments? How do I get to mine? 🫣 To groceries, to anywhere at all of it. I've been piecing it together with medical transport and favors, but it keeps falling apart… and I hate to ask anyone else for help… waiting for TCA so I can start working with them.

I want to work. My Walmart Spark job is still active, but I don’t have a car to use it so I'm waiting on cash assistance to get approved - so I can start job training, but even if I got a job tomorrow, I couldn't get there.🤷🏼‍♀️

I'm not looking for a handout — I'm looking for a way forward. Every dollar goes toward towing the car, finding out what's wrong, and getting it running again. If you've ever been stuck with no way to get your kids where they need to go, you know exactly what this feels like.🙏
