8th Grade Close Up Trip to Washington D.C!!
Funds raised will go directly to the school fees to participate in this one week trip to D.C. where students will participate in workshops with other students from around the country in various locations such as Martin Luther King Jr Memorial, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, U.S. Marine Corps Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, White House study visit, Capitol Hill study visit, Smithsonian National Museum of American History, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam, and Licoln Memorials, National Constitution Center, Holocaust Museum, and so many more places!! The students will participate in workshops to learn structures of community and roles within our government and identify ways in which they can become involved. They will explore not only our history, community, and government, but air and space as well. This is a great opportunity for students to learn and for us to start shaping our leaders of the future!! We appreciate any assistance as Wyatt begins this journey into his future...wherever it may take him...first stop..D.C!
