Apollos Army

Hello everyone! THANK YOU for joining this group. This is specifically to spread the word and help raise money for Apollos well being as well as to get the word out about his disease, DCM.

Apollo is a 5yr old Doberman and his family members include Mom (Melissa), Dad (Blake), and his three sisters (2 human and 1 four legged). Just recently, the family had a scare and woke up to Apollo breathing extremely heavily. Frantically they went to the emergency vet where they didn't know if Apollo would even make it through the night. Thankfully, their love and bond pulled him through, and even though he was a super tired boy, he was still here.

After a long night, Melissa and Blake received some terrible news that Apollo had gone into heart failure. They were suggested to see a cardiologist and after meeting with him, Apollo has been given a timeline between 3-6 months.

He is diagnosed with DCM which is very common, too common, in doberman's with 60% of the breed contracting it.

Our goal and idea is fairly simple. we want to spread awareness for DCM and I personally would like to raise enough money to cover the bills for the rest of Apollo's Journey and help Blake and Melissa be able to spend their time on their boy and family instead of worrying about medical costs.

To do that, I have decided to take all of my peppers this year, make an "Apollos Grin" hot sauce which shows off that famous smile of his, and commemorate a truly beautiful soul and symbol of man's best friend.

The idea is $10 and up will receive a bottle of "Apollo's Grin." I can mail the bottles out, but I will have to charge shipping. We can always meet in person if you're local as well!

So please, calling all dog lovers. Let's help Apollo and show him and his family there's an army behind him.
