A Veteran’s Road Back Home

I am a U.S. Navy veteran who served 10 years on active duty. During my military service, I developed anxiety and depression related to my experiences while serving. Transitioning out of the military has been extremely difficult, particularly as I have worked to manage these challenges while trying to establish stability in civilian life.

After leaving active duty, I experienced a period of unemployment while actively searching for work. Without a steady income during this transition, I fell behind financially and struggled to keep up with my regular expenses. Despite my efforts to find employment and regain financial stability, the combination of unemployment and the challenges associated with my transition from military service has placed me in a difficult financial situation.

I am currently behind on my mortgage payments and am very concerned about the possibility of foreclosure. My home is extremely important to me, and the thought of losing it has created significant additional stress and uncertainty. I am doing everything I can to improve my financial situation, including seeking employment and looking for assistance that can help me catch up on my mortgage obligations.
